Someone here use/used LUbuntu to desktop?

I was tested Ubuntu and loved it, better to windows for me, but to windows games using wine is not so good for me

I want know to expirienced peoples here...
Is a good choise use it to desktop?

Lubuntu is a fast and lightweight operating system.
Lubuntu uses the minimal desktop called LXDE which stands for Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment.

You can try to use CrossOver, Play on Linux (PoL) or WINE.

I switched to fedora after upgrade woes, but Ubuntu to Lubuntu is very different. Synaptic (do they still use that?) and any other gui managers are not installed. I think there is a simple package manager installed, but it's kinda wonky to get around. LXDE is a wonderful environment, but it seems to be under-developed. If you want basic composition (transparent windows and such), you'll have to beware of the openbox bug (i forget what it is off hand). I haven't been able to use it for a while (stuck on an old windows computer atm), but it's a great environment if you're smarter than the average bear. I have an old 32bit rig that ran fine on LXDE, but i just upgraded it yesterday without reinstalling LXDE. Don't forget playonlinux as well.
