Hi, a friend made an map shape for me, and when i try to open it says, "could not open file" "error loading map" i use the latest, reme mapeditor please reply.

Is this file a working .otbm file? Else, try to use the import map function.
Simply open a new map, then go to File -> Import -> Import Map then localize your .otbm file, then viooolaaa

yes it is .otbm and when i import it says "Error Loading map Couldn't open file for reading the error reported was: Syntax Error

It wasn't saved right, something is corrupted in the file. If your friend still has the map, he should re-save it using the same version of RME as you and send it again
