Due to a request, by a member in the Mapping Support thread, I kinda thought this could be pretty useful.
I'm going to bring up a lot of questions that's being asked pretty frequently, and of course answer them in a decent short & understandable answer.
First of all, I'd like to say that this thread will not be closed just to make sure that everyone may ask questions ABOUT the regarded questions that's listed here.
So the thread will remain open. But for everyones sake, follow OpenTibia Lands official rules.
As well, this FAQ requires that you are using Remeres Mapeditor.

FAQ:1.
Question: How do I remove the shade that's being shown if I go up a few floors?
Answer There's two options. Either you press Q, or you open View -> Show Shade (Q).
2.
Question:How can I replace the mountain borders, from the thick ones to the small ones?
Answer:There's a decent tutorial that will guide you through this; http://otland.net/f136/how-replace-mountain-edge-border-18705/
3.
Question:How do I chose that a building shall be a house?
Answer:There's a very decent tutorial for this issue as well; http://otland.net/f136/houses-using-rme-8-22-a-14606/
4.
Question:How to import one map to another?
Answer:Go to file -> import -> import map... Then you localize the map you want to import, and simply press the OK button.
5.
Question:How to remove PZ areas?
Answer:Simply hold down CTRL, and then use the PZ tool at the same spot once again, that will deactivate the PZ area.
6.
Question:Why can I use a stair UP, but not DOWN?
Answer:You simply have to add ID 459 above the stairs as a kind of activation as a stair.
