this thread is a discussion thread for his new server. therefore we are aloud to discuss, weather i think its amazing, or crap, its a discussion

in this case, the majority thinks its absoloute shit. and i can post that because i am discussing. if he didn't want opinions he shouldnt have made a discussion thread plain and simple

If you do not care what people think about the server, then you should remove all posts concerning opinions wether they are positive or not, since you are clearly removing the negative ones. It's sad to see moderators like you in power since you obviously can't handle it in a good way. It's a discussion thread, did you actually expect people to only post positive comments? I never said that, I said that the opinions you have of the owner don't matter, if you want to talk crap, do it in PMs

One thing is discussing the server, the posts I deleted clearly werent discussing the server, they were more about hate against the owner, so if you keep your opinions to the server, positive or negative they'll obviously both be valid, but if you flame or offend another member, that we wont allow.
ofc if you can make constructive posts against the owner, we will allow that too


if you don't agree with a decision a moderator made, you are always free to consult another moderator and ask his/her opinion

Why exactly arent we aloud to make negative posts? Lets say the owner is corrupt, cant we just state that? Also, Im still really clueless why this realsoft gets all this special mod support while every other "normal" member in the discussion/advertisement board isnt.

You are allowed to make negative posts, just dont say "its crap, u suxx go away nub"(or other variations), im sure you have reasons for having that opinion of him, I just ask that when you do make negative posts, especially if directed to other members that you justify them

he doesn't get "special mod support", he just reports the posts and we check it out and do the actions we see fit, if other members don't get that kind of attention like you say, its because they don't report, henceforth we don't really know cause we don't check every thread on the entire forum

Can't be 100% sure of my statement right now, but the previous posts I saw that got deleted was something in this direction. "I don't know what you've been thinking with but this idea is bad, you should stick to your old server"

So, I don't know what you are trying to justify here, really.. just as Gail said.. a special mod treatment is what his threads is getting, I've been hosting very known threads here on OTLand and trust me, the report function didn't get as much attention as his threads gets, even though my threads were more popular.

Maybe they doesn't look on reports made by people who normally flame/troll around?
All people who troll/flame in my thread have absolute no reason to do so.. well not valid ones.
Some are jealous I never have to ask for help to create stuffs, others are just jealous I've gain more attention the last 3 months than any other oldschool OT around the world. <-- Flame as much you want on that one, it's still true.
Other people are just pissed because they can't accept former deletions because botting, I'm always the bad guys when I delete someone, because Bot doesn't exist, never did, it's a conspiracy I share with Cipsoft to be allowed to delete random players and then say it's their fault.

There's many reasons, but what amaze me the most, is that people who are around here and troll/flame is mostly above 15 years. and that's interesting, at age 15 you should be able to act like a grown up, but some refuses to do so.
and thanks to internet which is pure magic in their eyes, they really believe none can find them, make them feel more protected than ever to just being assholes.
I can swear, if the trollers/flamers knew how easy it is to locate people through internet, they'd keep their mouth shut as there's lots of people out there, that's not very nice to get in contact with.

But I have to thank all the trolls really, because they keep my attention up on a high level, just look at my user profile, 20k views in a month, and my website, over 18k computers lays in my database now since I started EliteOTs classic with the Computer ID thing.
I'm enjoying it, it's nice having a shitloads of visitors on my homepage

Anyway, even if you give me loads of attention, I still think you guys should grow up.
I mean, is this how you'd act on a working place? you walk around trolling your co-workers? I'm in OT, you're in OT, so we're co-workers in a way, and you come here to troll more than trolls in Lord of the Ring troll the humans.

Keeping this in mind I wil post my opinion about the server discussed in this topic.

@EliteOTs: I think this will be another one in the line of your great servers. I have a few suggestions based on what I read here and based on my experience from your previous server.

1. Remove donations. It only makes people angry when you close a server and they loose what they bought in your shop. You will still make money from selling your server.

2. Do not hire gamemasters, you can never trust people completely. For example that GM Erik on EliteOTs was a disaster. Don't make the same mistake again. Also you have a great auto-ban system, you don't need anything to do with unserious and corrupted staff members like GM Erik.

3. Don't add bugs to your server. I'm talking about bugs like pox hitting more than UE, druids tera walls uncuttable and so on. However, since your next server will be a custom server you will have more choices regarding vocation balance. But you still shouldn't add bugs.

I just checked all deleted posts in this thread(only 2 so far), and not one of them refers anything like that
if it did not get as much attention like you said, maybe there was no reason for it? I don't know when your threads were made, but if I was already on the staff at the time, I'm sure I looked at it and gave it the same attention as I do to this thread

no, we look impartially to every report made, obviously there's a difference in how we treat people, if its a first time thing or if they are new to the forums, we usually go easier on them than we'd go on members with a known trolling background that has been registered for over a year(we check IPs for other accounts, so dont think about creating fake accounts for trolling)
