Hey, Just wanted to show something I have been working on for some time. A mobile game using OT assets.

What I have done so far is running it on my phone and make it free movement instead of tile-based movement and a LOT of performance testing to don't burn the phone or the server.

Would you play it if it was a complete game?

Because of tibia copyright, right ? If they were custom made would it be removed as well ? Like Does cipsoft own this "pixel art 45° perspective" ?

No they don't

Yeah, in the end you will need to redo the sprites.

Update:

• Removed Tibia sprites. Any perspective could be drawn but for now top down not 45 degree
• Added a floor system in top down perspective.
• Starting with monster seek behaviour

It looks like a slightly better version of TibiaME. Honestly I doubt this is a project worth investing a lot of time in unless you are doing it as a hobby. Starting from scratch and making a new game would be far better imo.

Yes, you are right and that is the idea. I'm not using OT server nor client but everything custom. I was just only ussing OT assets until now. So from now on it is a project with no relation to OT other than the essence of an Tibia-like MMORPG

The sprites are some that I found for free on internet. The idea if this end up being a real thing is to pay for custom look and feel, assets, design, etc.. So there is a chance to come back to 45° or keep top down but with different style
