Hello,

This question has float around otland in years and never got a strict answer about it.

Im wonder for Version 8.60, which rev is stable?

Dont say 0.4 then leave, tell me the number of rev!!

As i heard!
Linux 3777
Windows 3884

Is it true? Does someone used to host with those rev without any crash! = many players!

Thanks for reading.

I dont have those skills todo it :P

3884 is okay on Windows, im running it, server is still in test phase though.
Tryed every known bug in other TFS versions which would crash the server, those bugs arent in 3884.
Though i have a mate of mine which experience crashes while there are ~80 people online.

Im not sure about that, my server aint live yet.
Also i've read that Xampp aint the best combination with 3884, im not sure why, if somebody does know why, i would love to hear it!

But im going to use, linux :P So i wonder is it truth about the stability?

Linux + a virgin version of any TFS will be fine, but do expect bug's.. :p I compiled my whole server from code, an still got a few bugs to pick out. :) Good luck tho Cyko!

I know, any of the newer version are stable. But the question is why rev3777? WHY?

Ye but im curious about 3777 why is it stable? Is this just a myth someone brought up or is it the truth! I need explanation :D

I belive people say 3777 cause 3884 is somewhat broken on linux. What I've heard and experienced.

maybe because the next revision they added a system that is kind bugged or something, and that's why that is the better option (3884), idk i'm interested to know it too :p

So this means that 3777 is just a myth?

It's only logical that later revisions would be more stable than previous due to bugfixes. 3884 is just as stable as 3777 from my own experience.

I use rev 3884 with 100 ~ 150 players online and i have +300 hours uptime. I use Linux Debian :)

I wanna know who started this shit! That 3777 is stable for linux and 3884 is more suited for windows.
