Msn to Skype

Hey guy,
I just received a message from Hotmail that says they will stop and move into Skype.
I followed the step and now all my Hotmail accounts are in my Skype. So I guess Hotmail will die or already died. They will only use Skype since they bought it.

What do you guys think.
 
Windows Live Messenger is one of all services that Microsoft have (or had). Skype is yet another service that Microsoft owns nowadays. Same goes for Hotmail, it's a service that Microsoft offer. I heard that Windows Live Messenger has closed down and the users have been forwarded to Skype as Skype has more or less the same purpose that Windows Live Messenger had (to communicate in fast chats and through voice and more...), however Hotmail will hopefully NEVER get merged with Skype because they are both two different applications or should I keep saying services. Skype offers the opportunity to chat with your friends and co-workers instantly while Hotmail offers the opportunity to send e-mails (just like you are able to send letters in real). Skype is a fast communication option when e-mail will remain the more "slowly" option. And I'm not sure if it's really time to put e-mails into the ground and bury it.

Therefore I do not think that Microsoft have any plans to merge Hotmail and Skype together, as they are both two different services. But well, this is just my speculations.
 
MSN Messenger will cease to work in March 2013.
They will send all MSN Messenger users over to Skype.

If you do not want to use Skype, you're free to cancel your account.

Skype is a lot better, you're probably one of the last few that still use MSN.
