Change the links unless you want to infect more people ^^ Just take away the click thing or change a few letters in the adress.

I dont know how dangerous it is but I would try to log on msn from another computer and see if its related to your account or computer. If it was the computer then I would reinstall it and if it was the account then I would make a new account.

Well, seen a few that gives the owner full access to your system, but Microsoft should really have fixed the isssues now...

Just took a look at these links and it looks more like a refer/ads link than a virus.

PHP:
<script>
        var arydomain = new Array(".com",".net",".info");
        var domain = document.domain;
        var tmpdomain = "";

        for(var i=0;i<arydomain.length; i++)
        {
                tmpdomain = arydomain[i];

                if(domain.indexOf(tmpdomain) != -1)
                {
                        domain = domain.replace(tmpdomain,"");
                        domain = domain.substring(domain.lastIndexOf(".")+1,domain.length);
                        domain = domain + tmpdomain;
                        break;
                }
        }

        url = window.location.href;

        param = url.split("?")[1];

        if('undefined' == typeof(param)){
                param = '';
        }else{
                param = '?' + param;
        }

        url = 'http://www.topmy.com/reg/' + param;
        document.location = url;
</script>
This script basically redirect you to "http://www.topmy.com/reg/+&refer stuff here+" which is a registration page to a japanese/chinese game.

BTW, use a good msn client & an up-to-date web browser and you shouldn't have a problem. I personally recommend Pidgin and Google Chrome/Firefox.

Changed the links :P

REALLY? A guy enters a page --> BOOM he can control his entire computer? i find that hard to believe.. sounds totally impossible without downloading any software etc

                        domain = domain.substring(domain.lastIndexOf(".")+1,domain.length);
                        domain = domain + tmpdomain;
                        break;
                }
        }

Thank you for telling me what it was about :)

Lol'd.

I still find it hard to believe.. well.. it sounds totally impossible for me to just click a link and poff he got ur computer.

when you load a site, you actually download it.

have you never been blocked to access some site by your anti virus or similar because "malware detected"?

1 link is more than enough to bring down a file which you will come to regret.

Well, seen a few that gives the owner full access to your system, but Microsoft should really have fixed the isssues now...
Indeed, Microsoft should have fixed the issue that exists between the keyboard and chair already :rolleyes:

I've got a lot (50+) friends who keeps messaging me those things (like.... each time a day?), does that mean I got it too? haven't clicked the link.

Cake, tell them about it then...

if some msn would msg me with a link... I would track it down and find the source and help the guy get rid of the shit.
but sometimes... the msg is hacked. and in that case just block and delete it.

Already told them & they don't know why it does, also I have no clue how to track it down and find the source, lol.
& I can't block my friends o.o

It's simple just say to them that they should scan their pc's ... ^.-

a scan might not always do it...

to be absolute sure, scan the computer (Full scan, not some small scan.. include floppy drives)
Change your password of the msn (It can be a "hack" that got your login info and use it to spread links, or it can be stored somewhere there they can check up it and hack your msn so you never can use it again)
And stop download porno, and you should be fine..

Don't click any links you don't know about unless you know how to fight the most nasty viruses there is.
I know tons of website that give you viruses... my avenge amount of viruses try to access my computer use to be 35 per day.

You can seriously get virus from anything from the internet, even ads.. if there's an website that refresh itself (most webs does).. it can change source and suddenly it refreshing (your browser is downloading latest changed of the web) and in that way you downloading a virus.
watch movies onlines... I think I've gotten about 300 viruses from their fucked up ads.. I'm not using that site anymore...

anyway.. if you can't fight viruses... avoid being in webs that nearly "spamm" you with ads.. those are the most dangerous for people that doesn't download stuffs...
Wen you get a mail... check if it's a real mail or a virus shit in it.. would the friend ever mail you? instead of use msn when you're online? and would he really say "Hello mate, can you check this please?" and so on... read between the lines and try understand if it make sense.

Also.. NEVER is hell believe in Anti Virus "ads"... "Your computer are in danger! plx download this software" and similar... 95% of all those ads are fake and contains either virus or fake software to make money out from you that are unexperienced.
if you aren't experienced and not sure wtf you're doing when you going to select antivirus... ask a trustworthy person (take someone you know irl)

anyway, I'm writing too much already and running out of time.

peace out.

it's not about avoiding getting them (well important aswell) but how they can fix it :p I dont think I have the virus thing but my friends sure got

I got 3 different anti viruses and few fire walls (software) and some hardware xd
I've only had 1 virus ever on this computer that I didn't see... but lucky it was only a credit card searcher waited for me to use my credit card on internet, which happens rarely and I found it before I decided to buy prem in real tibia xD
Anyway I would really mind that someone found out the stuffs about that, because when I put money on it, they will stay there top 5 minutes before I use them. (Security card for internet shopping, there's never more money on it than I'm about to use right away)

anyway, if you can't pay for a anti virus you should get Avast or similar..
Avast is one of the best free softwares I know, it find most stuffs that you got..
Even thought you don't feel you got virus, you might have it.

Most virus are made to not use much of your computer to avoid laggs so you detect it.
Also if you have an kick-ass computer, you wont notice it at all overall..
Me for example, I use to run 5-8 different developing programs when I'm editing my upcoming projects (without any laggs at all, and I didn't count music, msn, internet browser and what else I have open at same time.. even 1-3 tibia clients) and I wouldn't ever find out I got virus by lagg.. impossible..

I got no antivirus, and windows firewall disabled and haven't had a virus issue in over year and a half.

also who pays for software and games today? lol.

Because you aren't so stupid like others who download every damn thing from unknown source.
