What you could do is just take a piece of her, so you would not need to squeeze her into "widescreen" format.

When i use clouds the picture allways get grey, why ?
Im not sure if I understood what you ment, but you are using an effect which is making the picture beeing as in a old film format. And they did not have color back in the days, that might be the reason
And ur other image is cool, funny moon tho. You shoul scale it down to a half-moon since almost half of it is already gone.
