Webdesign My layout

Shit 100%!
I am so fed up with lads like you. Telling someone that his or her product simply sucks is NOT EVEN CLOSE to giving criticism. I'm going to go by the old saying of "Don't insult if you can't do it any better yourself" (it may not be the exact phrase, but you get the point) - and if you, for some unknown reason, do know how to do it better than him - you SHOULD be able to give him some creditable criticism rather than acting like a complete idiot.

On topic: As mentioned in the first reply, it is very simple, and it has potential! What I would do, is to go by another colour making it less 'dull'. Avoid to much space within the actual template and if you are using drop shadow - I would highly advice you to either center it making it equally large on all sides, or making it larger on the bottom rather than one of the sides. What you could also do is to decrease the brightness of the background stripes making them melt into the background and not stand out as much as they currently do. It brings way to much attention to it.

It is a brilliant attempt, nonetheless!

At first i must say, that you're on good way to be better. I prefer if someone is starting with simple layouts, even if its based on one color, without buttons etc, than starting with layouts when somebody is trying to be pro and putting a lot of items with standard bevel and emboss and 9981274 px outer glows.
So... I sugest you, to make a new layout with buttons, menu, more advanced content and... don't use bevel end emboss, and outer glow. Try to work only with gradients, shadows, and transparency. It'll be not "TIBIAN STYLE", but "modern" I think, but it's very good way to start :) It would be nice if you'll do that layout and show me :)

thanks to me it looks like 5 minutes work wich cost me 1 day lol...
however still i liked somehow but i didn't expect positive comments thanks for the tips by the way i only make buttons if i have a header and not just a big text but i try to make new layout soon
