My NPC is acting odd.

The current NPC system doesn't work as planned.

Works:
Player: Hi
NPC: Hello, hello, Player Please come in, look, and buy!
Player:axe
Do you want to buy 1 axe for 20 gold coins?
Player: yes
NPC: Here you are.

Bugged:
Player: Hi
NPC: Hello, hello, Player Please come in, look, and buy!
Player:hand axe
Do you want to buy 1 axe for 20 gold coins?
Player: yes
NPC: Here you are.

This seems like a basic bug for many of you but goes beyond my knowledge!
Anyone got any idea how to fix this?
