Dear OTland staff members,

I would like to ask you why you deleted my project ([CFS] custom fun server) from the Opentibia disscusion section, not giving me ANY reason WHY.
I see alot of projects on there so I can't understand why.
It also had NOTHING to do with advertisement!
Is it because it's free instead of aiming for the money industry?

Mine did too! I spent like an hour making mine!
Mine had nothing about donations or anything, was a simple teaser.
I would atleast like mine restored for 5 mins so i can copy down the info i posted cause for the first time i didnt save it in a notepad.
 
I'm really curious for what the staff has to say about this, since I still see alot of other servers.
All possible links of advertisement were directing to youtube, which EVERYONE knows, so that just can't count as advertisement.
I also spent atleast an hour writing the page, etc...
However this is what's called advertisement http://otland.net/f251/vapus-open-t...-client-generator-tools-v3-alpha2-1-a-105065/, it's not a famous website, not everyone knows about it, but since he's a moderator it's ok? (not to bring stian down as he's pro dev, but still, it's unfair.)
I really seem to get more reasons to think there should be done something about the moderation of this forum, but that's my opinion.

Ya im interested also, i already pmd several mods, I checked to see what mods were on during the time it got deleted and only red was online
 
interesting, and i dont think that they will allow you to see your posts again due to the fact that 1000000 other posts that have been deleted probably had a few people that posted wanted to see their post again so they could remember what they said/how they word it etc.. fact is if they let 2 people copy their posts then hundreds of other players will also wish to copy theirs aswell, and allready have tried.

i advise you to re-read over ALL of the rules there may be a tid-bit of information you may have not left in your posts that led them to being removable.

Or maybe there was just an accident deletion of several threads these just happen to be a few of them, who knows.
 
It had nothing of non-allowed material/language/advertisement,etc.. in it.
It was written with formal language, no swearing what so ever used, nothing!
Best is to just wait for a moderator to explain why it was deleted.
I also find it quite annoying that they don't PM a reason of the deletion.
 
Ya @ up same, i read over rules to double check, they didnt pm me, or post anywhere saying why, they just deleted me and yours, not the other threads. Just ours.
 
Thread was deleted with the reason: No discussion, just commercial.

Not sure if I can defend the reason. Anyway the responsible moderator might come with a feedback for it.

I am really curious about the "Commercial" part of the topic of my project, since it has 0% tends to make money, and the topic is just to inform about updates, no links containing website any other than youtube.
So, that would be waiting for a reply from Red, and please, don't come with a crappy reason that is legal only in your mind.
I also find this very respectless towards people that there are crappy reasons given as stated above: "No discussion, just commercial.".
 
If you are advertising your server, please use the advertisement board. If you are looking for testers (as in Moist_Giraffe's case) use the jobs board. The discussion board is for discussions, not for members to apply to test your servers. In your (unknown666) case, it looks like you are advertising a server you are starting. If you want to start a discussion with an idea you have, post about the idea and not that you are starting a new server and the information about your new server.
 
It's advertising in that way, I agree, but there are hundreds of those topics, and they don't get deleted.
I was just keeping people updated on the progress of the server, and asking about what kind of scripts they want in the server, and what the experience rate should be, so it's part a discussion.
In what section can I post it then and can I have back all the information I posted in the topic (By PM or something), to save me from wasting another hour in writing it?
 
I wasnt just looking for testers, i was also showing the ot and hoping for some response/Discussion on the server, what players like and dislike, this is the same board i posted my previous server on for 2 months and it remained on this board 100% fine. I spent an hour writing that thread and id like it back (Or atleast moved to Jobs or advertisement board... Which is what mods do with other peoples posts, but for me and unknowns they just deleted it. All our work we wrote out. They just delete it basicly slapping us in the face saying F*** Your effort on this forum get out.
 
As I said, if you want to discuss your ideas, do so without having the discussion thread contain the release date and a lot of other content related to your server. You can use the advertisement board for that. You have both received the content of your thread back in a private message.

Can I post screenshots / video's of what the server looks like and the systems? (People can discuss about wether they like it or not).
 
Of course you can do that, a screenshot or video showing the material you want to discuss doesn't necessarily have to be advertisement for a server unless you fill the screenshot or video with that.

I did not delete it, I'll notify the moderator who deleted it about this thread.
 
This is why we need to elaborate a new board rule for these specific cases at Discussion board.

If you want likes and disagree on things use the develop board, like everyone else ;)
