Windows Mysql password

Yesterday i changed my password for mysql database on localhost/phpmyadmin. Now i cannot log into my database, i have written the password down and tried it a number of times. Still doesn't work. I have restarted xampp as well. I really do not know what to do. All i have been able to do as of now is completely re-install xampp and start fresh with a new database, however i do NOT want to do that. Anyone know how to fix this? You would really make my day :/. Thanks otland <3

Did you change the password in Config.lua?
