Naruto Story: Light [Development]

After a break where we could test the things mentioned before, it’s time to move forward and learn from the results.
The game is too complicated for new players and not adapted to modern times.
Today, people are busy, working, rushing... and a game should feel like a break from daily life, not another difficult task.

Because of that, the new direction is simple:
make the game more enjoyable

Let's go:
- Faster movement outside combat
The first step in this direction is increasing speed when you are out of combat.
I also added a nice trail effect when running fast.
In the future, this trail will be customizable with different styles.
(It’s not a top priority right now, but you can share ideas for trails you’d like to see!)
- New battle list sorting mode: "Mouse"
This mode sorts creatures based on how close they are to your mouse cursor.
The key (default F) can be changed in config.txt.
- Translator (experimental)
I also worked on in-game translator with clickable links and highlighted words.
But since I use a free API, the translate is poor.
So for now, it’s not a serious feature.

Idea for trial - copies of your outfit with more and more transparency, something like Ultra Instinct effects.
More sugesstions:

Energy Sparks – Small electric sparks scatter behind the character, flickering for a brief moment before fading.

Fire Trail – Fiery streaks left behind each step, with small sparks that quickly disappear.

Stardust – Shimmering particles resembling cosmic dust, giving a magical and otherworldly effect.

Phantom Mist – A faint, ghostly mist lingers in the air as the character moves, then slowly dissolves.

Heart Trail – Small floating hearts appearing behind the character, fading away in a playful style.

I’ve got some updates to share about the game:
  • Few missions got improved.
  • Some spells got improved – now they look and work much closer to the anime.
  • Added mechanics for countering monsters, e.g. defending against their stuns with spells
  • New amazing items (I will describe them soon…)
  • Reworked characters now have area animations for their jutsu.
  • Added a new running trail effect behind characters - lightning effect. Thank you @Keal Atis
  • New visual effect that often decorates Amegakure - rain

Hello OTLanders,
I haven't been around for a while, but only because the development process was intense.
Now I want to inform you about the results

The new season of Naruto Story begins in two days.

A quick description of what's new can be found here:

You can find more detailed descriptions, for example, on my project's Discord, but it's best if you enter it yourself in a day and a dozen or so hours.
It was a lot of work (code and graphics), so I'd be happy if you could take a look yourself.

And here, in order not to leave you with anything special, I will show you the workshop side, i.e. what people who are really very helpful to me and interested in my work see.
