Hello, I'm a bit new to the subject and would like to take some questions. I have a fully configured server correctly, use Tfs 0.4 and I'm paying in order to start a dedicated server or a cloud. But I would like to know some information to better performance of the same. What essentially defines an OT to know how much memory the machine will need? When I learned that any server which is running on Linux earns MUCH more than one in Windows. I have always heard of others that 2GB of memory is a beginning to start shooting a global server easily and holds a certain amount of players than the same machine but in Windows. Is that true?
Let's get to what really matters:
My server contains a map that weighs 18MB, very simple, also contains complete War System and Site.
I am with the following machines to START:
Processor: Intel Xeon Power
Memory: 2GB
Hard Disk: 100 GB
Traffic: Unlimited
IP: 1
Uplink: 1000 Mbps
OS: Windows / Linux
Panel Reboot: Yes
Cloud is a simple, no I'm so good to spend some money to start because I have fears. My question is:
Given the settings of my server, how many players could stand without the machine freezes or lags with such so?
S.o - Windows ..?
S.o - Linux ..?
Please get me out of the pit! hahahaha
