Need help trying to start an ot

I am a skilled mapper and have several saved...i do not know what the next step is, if i had to guess id assume to get a server...not sure if im right but if anyone could help me get started it would be much appreciated.....just need to find out where to go from step one....please anything helps

also after you get a server how do you create a 'god' or 'gm' and also any info on custom clients?

I recommend starting with an 8.60 server. download crying damson 8.60. Once you have that it should come with the proper lua files and then put your map in the world folder. 1 at a time including the spawn and house file. you will then need to change the mapname in the config.lua to whatever your map's name is. Or to avoid that rename your map forgotten.

Then you will need sqlitestudio. after you have that add database and hit browse. Then go into your crying damson folder and click forgottenserver.s3db
THEN try to run theforgottenserver.exe and if it loads successfully change tibias IP to 127.0.0.1 port 7171 with tibia client 8.60 and log in with username god and password god.

also, forward your ports, and use your IPv4 address in your ip changer while running the 8.6 client. Don't make another RL map or I'll kill you.

Yeah but don't worry about ports until you are able to log in successfully. Only do ports when you are ready to put your server online. You can log in with 127.0.0.1 and log in locally for your computer only to test your maps.
