Im pretty new to this community and to ot's in general... just got off reg tibia after 13 years.
anyways im wanting to make a really great and popular ot. good enough to keep attracting players and keep them on it.
Many years ago i helped with a friends ot on otserv. that site seems dead now so i looked and found this one.
I used to map and was pretty good at it. Im reteaching myself what i forgot pretty fast. I wront need another hands on mapper. i haz no life lol. but i will need another experienced mapper to kinda check to see if the what i done works.
Few things i do know i need and i dont remember half of what came with hosting ot's, and half that i never knew about.
Basically from common sense i will need the following
Scripter, a host. experienced mapper , possibly a web designer (dont know if there's fee's for having a site or not.)
thats what i would think would be needed but sense practically all of you know more about this please just say what else is needed.
i already have a plan setup for this ot. just not experienced enough in tibia ot's to carry it out. and by the time i tought myself everything that i need to know i would just go back to reg tibs(really dont want to)
Server idea's~
New type. a challenge server.
Level cap at 100.
exp. rate x1
skill set at 1.5
magic norm.
No negative effects from dieing as reg. tibia. Its just an annoyance at this point.
Druid class and paladin class changed to Cleric and archer class.
Cleric gain holy ability that was the paladins and keep the ability to heal others
Archers no longer have holy spells but instead stronger physical and a poison attack.
Exiva and exana pox gone( find person and cure poison)
Player raids.(exp. istead of a orc raid in thais players raid orc fort for quests and better gear, access)
possibly 5th or 6th class.-->
Necromancer type class being one. haven't thought of a good class to counter it yet.
upgrade and degrade certain weapons( change amount of attack) also changing the level cap of a weapon to a skill cap.(exp. stone cutter axe for like 95 axe skill level instead of level 90.)
Game is more quest based then reg. tibia by alot.
The ability to find random items that gives a slight advantage to the owner of it.
More gear and more common types.
no skull system or frag limits.
Hunting grounds having a good setup.( no random water elemental in the outlaw camp....)
thats just some of them...
i have already started mapping tho it will take many weeks till its anywhere near done..
i useuly bump on here few times a day so just post here or inbox if your interested or anything.
P.S. im 22 and have terrible grammar and spelling... hail the Michigan school system >.<
