Hey guys!

What do you think of theese following speccs and do you think there is similar products for a bit cheaper?

MSI P67A-C45 REV B3, Socket : 1155! Price : 100£ (1089kr)
500GB Samsung Spinpoint , 7200rpm! Price : 34£ (344kr)
Corsair 4GB DDR3 SO-DIMM 1066MHz , 7-7-7-20 , Price : 39£ (390kr)
Intel Core i5 2500K 3,3GHz , (Socket 1155) , Price : 175£ (1745kr)
MSI Radeon HD 6950 Twin Frozr II, Price : 220£ (2200kr)
Antec LanBoy Air Yellow 5 build in fans , 135£ , (1351kr)

What do you think looks best LanBoy yellow or blue? (Both are blue led)
I could buy 1TB but seems kind of useless since i wont use over 500GB
I could change the GeForce GTX 560 TI OC for Zotac GeForce GTX 470 (Not OC)
If i change the i5 for i7 that would be expensive , even thou i buy cheaper chassi but i must have the graphic card , cant be changed :D! It can be changed for XFX Radeon HD5850 which have the same price but i am not a AMD fan, I like Intel and NVIDIA more then AMD&ATI

I'm pretty sure that's a sandybridge i5 are you sure your Motherboard can handle it?
 
Okay , i changed the motherboard to MSI P67A-C45 REV B3 i also changed graphic card to MSI Radeon HD6950 Twin Frozr II , a bit more expensive but not a big diffrence its like 30£ diffrence but ive heard that Twin Frozr is a great cooler , so thanks for telling me that my previous motherboard was for AMD

Thanks for telling me that its for AMD , didnt really pay attention to the motherboard! so i changed to MSI P67A-C45 REV B3
that one is for Intel :D
 
  • The motherboard.. Why MSI? Get Asus. "MSI P67A-C45 REV B3" - as you can see on the name, it has been REViewed, probably to fix some bugs.
  • The RAM.. I'd get Kingston instead. On the socket 1155 its still working better than the Corsair one.
  • Graphic card.. MSI again ?
  • Why spend £135 on the chasis?
  • Even if you get the ATI 6950 you won't be able to run it at 100% with the processor you've mentioned before. You'd need a better one.

If you give me a website I could make you a wishlist. I guess you want to spend around 700€(£620), right ?

I got my Antek Lanboy Air (Red) for 20$ cheaper than the Yellow or Blue :p

I strongly discurage getting any msi P67 motherboard. I can say that because I have already been through 2 P67A-GD65 in 1 month (RMA 2 just to find out that the bios were fail).

The RAM you are purchasing should be just fine though, but unfortunately for me I need to buy some cheaper RAM until they support my performance ram..

Yeah sure , Inet - Datorbutik, datorer, speldatorer, b?rbara datorer - Inet.se and dustinhome are the cheapest sites ive checked on pricerunner Dustin home - Hemelektronik på Internet - 221 , Note that each 10:- is 1Euro , and i can buy the computer for around 9000kr not over 10 000:- ;) anyways i have made a new wishlist and it goes around like this , i dont really like AMD but its lot cheaper!

I'll explain..

The chasis: Its pretty ok, it has a transparent crystal and some neons, and it has like 3 fans, the only bad thing its that it has USB 2.0 connectors. In a future you can get a frontal panel for 15€ that has USB 3.0 connectors. (Keep in mind that on the back of the tower you'll have 3.0 USB connectors from the motherboard);

Power suply: Corsair CX 600; Its ok I guess, corsair and scythe has the best power suplies nowadays. I wanted to choose a kamariki 4 550W but it isn't avaible. Kamariki its a bit better tough.

Processor: I5 2500k. I know you want I7, but.. What for? With I5 you'll play games without problems for atleast 4 years, im pretty sure. Nowadays you need a dual core to run the best game out!

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 REV B3. It support 16gb Ram, 3.0 USB's.. Its quite fine.

RAM: I've choosen the same as you did because I couldn't find G.SKILLS which is better. Keep in mind that Corsair is designed mostly for people who'll make overclock and corsair rams work better with amd processors. (aint saying its bad, oh and btw these one are 29cm long!)

Cpu fan: Scythe Mugen 2 rev B; Its just great and pretty cheap.

Graphic Card: I know you prefer ATI, so did I. I've tested both Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 OC 1280MB and ATI 6950 and for some more cash gtx570 it offers a better performance. If you'll go for ATI 6950 2gb will be good too tough..

Well, that's it. 940€
