No lifer?

lmao, enough with the insults - its petty and immature. Just because you don't make it your top priority doesn't mean you don't make a stable income -.- if you have a family then you should be working a stable job with good enough hours to spend time with your family and earning a living, or you shouldn't be raising a family in the first place. I know people that work 9 hour days 8am to 5pm and earn 100k+ a year. Its called a salary (maybe you should google this).

I don't condemn spending time with your family. Hours should depend on income, not how big your family is. What you suggested is that people shouldn't work 12-14 hours a day. Not everybody makes 100k a year. My father works 12-14 hours a day as a carpenter in Germany, while my mother works 8-10 hours a day as a house cleaner. And because of their hard work I was able to attend a good private school and have open doors to pursue various vocations in multiple fields. There is a difference between somebody working less because they make a large amount of money and they can allow themselves to work less. I have great respect for those kind of people, because their dedication to an education and their hard work in the past is what allows them to have an easy and enjoyable job, and they should work less when they are adults, but that's only if they worked at an education and are successful because of it. However people with no education who didn't give a crap about school and don't work today are not trying to spend more time with their family, they're just lazy. You simply misunderstood what I meant.

If you read my post again you will see that I said, "It depends on your situation". I totally agree that if you need to work those hours to provide a healthy life style for your family then yes do it of course, but its something that you should always consider before having a family; to make sure you have a solid financial grounding.

There are people out there that are just workaholics that neglect their family, and then there are people that are doing all they can to provide for their family. To me family will always come first, and in many cases over-working will become a bi-product of loving them. Never the other way around :D

Then we do agree. I condemn workaholics who neglect their family. Family should come first in the sense that you not only have to say you love them, but you have to show them you do by providing them with the best life-style you can.
