I would ask to speak to an NPC (hi, QUEST, yes) and receive the quest.
About the quest, the player will receive a quest you need to kill certain amount of creatures, and to receive it, it was the QuestLog and show (Defeat 10 rats), and each rat defeated a white message in the default show updating.
example:
Rats defeated: 1/10
Rats defeated: 2/10
Rats defeated: 3/10
And while completing 10 Rats, another message saying, quest complete, reporting to (NAME NPC) on it.
When reporting the quest, the player will receive a reward of gold coins.
And if it were a more difficult quest, receive item and gold coins.
Soon after this, you can get another quest in the same way, no longer the first, because I was ready.
And so on ...
I think it should not be too hard, because you can use the NPC Grizzly Adams reference.
But who am I to say something ...
