Opening an OT, having issues.

I am trying to set up my own ot server on 8.60. i have downloaded cryingdamson 0.3.6 (8.60) V8.2. I forwarded ports 7171, 7172, and 80. I changed the IP on config.lua to my pc's IP. I can run the server and it says that it is online. When I try to login with IP 127.0.0.1 and acc/pass 1/1, tibia crashes and the server stops working.

Is there something I'm forgetting? did i do something wrong? any insight would be greatly appreciated i don't know what else to do. (i only want to host it from my computer for now, this isnt about going public or mapping or anything, just simply getting it to the point where i can log on!)

Well thats not normal, but you have created a database to manage your accounts?, are you sure that the account 1/1 exist?

Did you replaced something? like the data folder or the config.lua?

I have sqlite for account managing, but what do i need to do to create a database? This is my first go at an ot so assume that i'm an idiot

I don't think i replaced any files but its possible i screwed something up inside of config.lua. I played around with it a little bit but i think i put it all back how it was. after each failed tweak.

Well there are a few things we can try.

* Install either uniform server(some say its safer) / or xampp, I prefer 1.6.6a but install the latest one if you are gonna host to players.
* A new config.lua, only change ip, mysql pw,ports, etc.
* A new engine, probbly not reccomended but search on google for 0.4 3884(windows) 3777(linux). (Not adviced as you are not a donator, but its up to you)
* lib files, and creaturescripts, try a "clean" server without any edits that are working for others, check the datapack "part" of the forum.

I am also having problems, but my server instead, loads up to the character lists then it says cannot connect to server :/ what could be the proble. i didnt change anything on the .lau except for my ip.
