Linux opening ports on ubuntu 12.04 vps

hi! yesterday i bought an vps from namecheap and the unique thing i cant do is opening the ports for 7171 and 7172 , i try iptables and i got the allowed ports on udp tcp in and out on -L wht can i do? pllllx helpme

There is no need to forward ports on a VPS.

if i use the port tools like canyouseeme it sais that the port is closed, and i cant log to the game, i can go to web, and the tool said that the 80 port is ok, but neither the 7171 and 7172 works

Probably your VPS provider blocks access to ports other than 80, 22, 21... You better send them an email.
