Welcome to the beginning of Season 2 of the Official OTLAND Mapping Competitions. Congratulations to @Andréew on being crowned the Season 1 Champion. I look forward to see who can take the title this season!

As always, the winner of an OTLand Official Mapping Contest will receive premium to their OtLand account, however now it is for 3 months opposed to the historic 1 month!

At the end of a "season", the winner will receive an additional prize! Stay tuned. More details and current standings as well as a more detailed account of the rules can be found here: Hall of Fame | Rules | F.A.Qs

How do I sign up?

A poll has been made to allow you to sign up, simply select Sign Up to join, this contest has no limit on how many participants there are, whoever doesn't submit is simply not shown on voting day thus being disqualified. We have decided that allowing everyone to see who is taking part in the competition might inspire participants to make better pieces.

The poll will be open for the entire duration of the submission phase. Please ensure that you submit your entry within the deadline.

For this competition, 2 images are required and only 2 images will be accepted. No photoshop, animations or effects, no custom sprites. The version in which you can map is however you see fit.

Is it right?
yes :) - Sorry, realised I didn't edit the table - updated :)

Pretty cool theme my boi!
we can fake ingame screens with RME screens or?
provided the size is the same (I will check) and it isn't distorted in anyway... What I don't know - I don't know ;).

It just means you wont be able to have any light effects etc as that would mean you've edited it.

Come one guys - it would be great to have a lot more entries :)

Would join this and post my submission, if it wasn't ONLY Ingame screenshots. But Good Luck to everyone.
Many others just make it the size of an ingame screenshot and place a random creature/npc right in the middle.
I personally don't like to do this but it's a good way to participate anyways. Not everyone is using light effects but that is obviously a down side.
For this competition I would have loved and preferred to have wide RME images (of a certain max size) also because it does simply deliver the feel of a big harbour way better than just the usual ingame size. But this is another issue :p

I feel you - I'll be doing some more open themes soon so hope you participate in those :)

Regarding having an ingame image only - if it's the case of running a server to show the image, that can be arranged privately easily enough.

I don't want to take ingame screens, because it wont fit the whole piece. And I can make an ingame screen map in 5 minutes. Takes no form of effort at all.
