No sources. If I compile TFS, will it link correctly with the config and data folder?

Probably you will have some compatibility problems but nothing hard to fix i guess

If you want something close to old evolutions you can use the Quickly_OTServ or DevLand-SQL_0.97b .
But if you want just a good 8.0 server use tfs ninjalulz 1.2-8.0 because its not to old and its based on tfs 1.2 so you have suport for it

If you have a lower data version as compatible with 1.0, some things will probably bug out.

I'd just download a couple, make a backup of my data folder and try out a bunch of distro's

If you just want the evolutions map, you can use any server, and edit actions ,movements, npcs etc. until you make everything compatible ,its not to hard, just take some time =)
And if you need help, we are here o/

Tried a 1.2 8.6 by Ninja (git fork) a week ago, monsters onThink too long after players move and players with basespeed + 2000 have glitches in their walking (moving left or right randomly sometimes)

I have no idea about the 8.0 version tho

I have found this, however it only supports the following client versions;
7.1, 7.11, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.61, 7.7, 7.71, 7.8 and 8.11
