Past logo to other picture

Can someone here tell me how to Paste a logo/picture or what ever, with removed background to a other picture. Like if i have a full black background picture I want to paste a text to it without having the background from the text on the picture. I do remove the background from text but what program or how..

Hard to explain I dont really know how to explain. Maybe someone get it.
