Currently looking for the php.ini file, can't seem to find it in any data, does anyone know where I can find it?

php cURL is not enabled. It is required to for paypal or captcha services.
1. Find your php.ini file.
2. Uncomment extension=php_curl
Restart web server.

If you don't want this then disable paypal & use_captcha in config.php. "

Just windows search your uniserver or xampp folder (whichever you're using) for it.

While I am at it already - I've had struggles changing the root user since it always ruined my whole database. Is there a tutorial on how to remove the root user as an admin without any issues?

well you don't really need to remove it, just change its name (?) and get a strong password
