Windows Play OT via LAN?

I'm hosting my OT on one computer, if I play via that computer, my ping is around 10-20, if I connect via another computer (that's in my network) my ping is around 150. Is it possible to somehow connect in a way, that will lower my ping a bit?

Decrease the distance between the host and the client computers.

They are standing next to each other. Which obviously doesn't matter, anyway - the hub's around five meter away. So the distance shouldn't be a problem?
When I connect, should I use the global IP?

Yes you have to use your global ip. But you can test to connect via hamachi also if you want to try via "lan"

No, you don't use your global ip if you are on LAN -.-

That's why it's slow.

You should just use the local ip.

Just use your local IP address (192.168.1.x unless you changed customized it) for the machine. If the ping is still high then look and see the speed of the router.. How old is it?
