how many player my computer suport?

AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 5000+ 2.6 ghz
4gb RAM

I'm asking about because when my database is with 5mb I can't save players, the server freeze like 5-8 minutes.

also i need other help...
i use sqlite but bug when i use website, so i will put mysql with xampp and gesior website. When i try to add samples with gesior site, apache crashes.
