Ok guys so I know everyone here and their dogs bot. But how tolerated is it? For example I see many talking about it in english chat/advertising but do they even act on it? Does anyone know if theyd actually ban you for talking bot related content?

Third-party software that performs actions for you (also known as Bots)
Performing actions such as killing monsters or casting spells while being idle from the game is never tolerated.

Keep in mind that using third-party software to control at least one character while you are logged into other characters will always mean that you are idle on at least one of them, as you can not actively play on several characters at the same time. In such situations, all of the characters you are logged into are violating the rules.

Interesting note: It is not illegal to use a bot to assist your gameplay as long as you aren't idle from the game and it doesn't violate any other rule.

Controlling/logging in multiple characters in potential PVP situations (also known as red skull traps, combobot or magebomb)
Using third-party software to gain unfair advantage in a player versus player situation is strictly prohibited and may lead to an instant deletion of all accounts involved.

Example situations to clarify what we mean, but not limited to:

  • Using multiple characters to make someone get a black/red skull.
  • Using multiple characters to organize a combo attack on a player.
  • Using multiple characters to heal your character/team in a player versus player situation.

Yes, I saw this on FAQ Derp. But im asking have many people been punished?

I've been botting all of my accounts pretty much afk or semi-afk while doing some work for college since the server started. I haven't been caught (jailed - btw, does jail still exist? :o) in all this months of botting.

You could say Twifysoft servers are every botter's paradise ... Which goes out for the entire Tibian community. :o

That is what I do not understand. The claims of using an automation tool for the very purpose of "having a life" yet, that "having a life" is defined by what cultural norms are put in place.

In a video game; one makes "progress" that is all what it really is, progress.

What is the point of even playing if all that progress is done by an algorithm?

In fact bot users (not pointing to all of them) have less of a life for checking on their bots 24/7 and only to get red faced when their character was slain or banned, thus starting another useless thread on how Mr. God should un-ban them. (YOUR TEARS ARE DELICIOUS)

It is understandable why it is used in PVP as silly CIPSOFT decided to not increase the functionality of their client by introducing macros/key-bindings/addons if they were to allow all these BOTs to run rampant - forcing those that do not use an automation tool to use one, for they would just fall further behind.

@Singularity Botting is so spread because of CipSoft themselves. They've 'allowed' botting/cheating for almost a decade now. If CipSoft set a very harsh consequences with cheaters from the beginning, I say there wouldn't be not a single bot program around these days, because no one would dare to use it. A great example is Blizzard (World of Warcraft). They've won a lawsuit against a guy (botter/cheater) who made 200,000$ of off their game by selling in game cash for real life cash. It turns out he had to give back all the 200,000$ and extra 7,000,000$. You do the math what happens in WoW to cheaters. (I'm not saying every botter is being chased by law firms, but cheating policy is a VERY VERY harsh considering WoW). And that's where Tibia fails. CipSoft doesn't give a crap about cheating. All they care is €€€. As long as people (cheaters) are buying world transfers/name changes/premiums/etc. Tibia became a milk cow. Milk them kiddos until it's all over.

And about no life part. I don't give a crap about my characters dying ... Yeah, I'm one of those botters ... Creating account takes literally a minute, setting up a bot takes another minute. Then just go away and let the 'algorithms' (as you call it) do the job for me. Even if I die or whatever it goes back to the spawns completely afk. (Yeah, it pays off to be a good scripter ) And if you get caught (speaking about 'rl' Tibia now) -> ''Create New Account" ...

I know about that WoW incident and who doesn't know about CipSoft's policies on botting:

Especially when they removed GMs and introduced their anti-bot tool. Only reason many of us are probably still playing Tibia (even though it is a dying game) is for nostalgia.

I would hardly consider it dying... Tibia still has the same amount login as it did in 7.8 and OT's are more popular than back in 7.8. In other words TECHNICALLY their are more tibia players now, regarding global tibia + OT's. however yes, its not as popular as it was in liek 7.4? Cool fuckin story. The fact this game still has so many online blows my mind still
