Port 80 is open on router and still closed ?

My internet dealer is blocking the port 80, every thing I will try it won't work. Only if they unblock the port, I'll ask them tomorrow
Tell them that you realy need the port and if they cant open it for you then you will change internet provider, it will work

It depends on which kind of contract he has with his provider, I remember, when I was living in another state, I had a provider that wouldn't let me use any port under 1024. It had something to do with their Root stuff and they already had a webserver running on :80 with some kind of NetMapping with a DB...

Anyways...I hope you can do something about it, otherwise get a certificate and go :443 -> HTTPS!

I've worked at a relatively big ISP that handles most of Pennsylvania and New Jersey for the last four years. Our policy is we block 80 and a few other "commercial" ports. If you order commercial internet through us we'll open them.

I think its something like 40$ for Residential and about 75$ for the commercial equivalent. Also residential is capped at 250gb total bandwidth a month and commercial is has no cap.

Under no circumstances will we ever open port 80 for a residential customer despite how much they "press" us.

So i'd look to see if they offer commercial internet and see what the price difference is.
