I had originally had the ports working, but i restarted my computer. When i restarted it, i realised that the ports had closed so i tried to forward the ones i needed. I forwarded 3306, and 80 perfectly fine, but 7171 and 7172 just wont work, any ideas? Thanks:)

When I disable my firewall(norton)+windows firewall, it still dosent work :( thanks for the answer tho, anybody else have any ideas?

Run
Code:
netstat -a -n -o
in a command window. Check if you see 7171/7172 anywhere, and shut their processes.
If not, it's a firewall issue. Since you've disabled your Windows firewall, it's probably the hardware firewall blocking it. (Unless Norton blocks it (better uninstall Norton, it sucks).)
Since that latest thing is most likely the case and it messed up on computer restart the following is most logic: set up a static local ip adress.

Check your router settings and make sure it doesn't assign a DHCP adress to your machine, this might overwrite your preferred static ip adress you've defined. You might also have to define your static ip adress somewhere in those settings.

Ok so if your computer has a new IP, you goto config.lua and change the old ip to the new ip. If it's the ports then what you do is open the ports via modem/firewall by definition of TCP opening port for 7171 will be 7171 and closing will be 7171 and for 7172 the opening and closing will be 7172 for both your modem and firewall.

Problem solved haha, thanks alot for ur time! repped
