Hey guys, going to make this short, I've been working on ot servers for the past 4 years and have alot of experience in scripting and mapping, i'm considering bringing otmadness 8.10 and updating it to 8.60 i just want opinions if you guys think that's a good idea? and afew hands to who would play it.

I'd consider. But I would not play at all if it wasn't newest client/custom or 8.6. I don't like having 500 random clients downloaded (eg. 9.81, 10.31 etc.), especially if it's only for one server.
 
I'm thinking 8.6 as like snizzle said it's a hassle to download all the random clients

8.6 isn't only popular because of elfbot, but also because literally everyone has that client. It comes with the convenience, until people start making servers past 8.6 it'll still be most popular. But the newer clients are definitely way cooler plus more items, mounts and mobs.
 
I'd say go for the highest client you feel comfortable with. A server shouldn't be judge by what client it is, but rather what the server contains and how well it's made.
I like the newer clients because there is much more content you can use, and 8.6 has been over used.. It doesn't take long at all to download another client, even more so with the wonderful and convinet website @Red made.
Tibia.sx is a life saver.

I use halfaway's for all my client downloads, cause i know how legit he is and how he definitly does not get enough credit for how much stuff he does...
 
Now is this a remade version of otmadness, is it the already released datapack you're thinking about upgrading or is it the original otmadness 8.60 version?
 
i have the datapack but i'm not sure either to make a similar ot to otmadness like same kind of style map, teleports and stuff or completely new map but with the same features like the equipment sets similar hunting features, i don't know what would be better
