Preview Game Worlds

So, yeah, there was a thread about it here but I guess it got deleted.

CipSoft is introducing 2 new game worlds (American and German host).
These are not ordinary server types, CipSoft made these servers to test features on a long-term scale.

Preview Game Worlds:

• 2x experience rate
• 2x skill rate
• No transfers to there and from
• Occasional resets

CipSoft plans to open these servers later this month of May.
Their first plan of using these servers are primarily for PVP. This means it will be open-PVP with changed PVP features.

It's being made to make changes to the game, balance vocations AND PvP.

So, who's to say they won't be taking off hotkeys and going back to their old roots?

No they don't. Bringing in new management means new people without prior knowledge of the game.

It's not difficult to find people with the skills required to manage this company.

I think the management is fine, there are a lot of very worthy developers that other gaming companies would look for, like Craban, Akananto, even the artists are doing good.
I don't see anything that relates them to being the reason for Tibia's downfall. I think the management has become MUCH better than it was in 2004 when I first started playing.
I believe it's the poor choices among our playerbase that is destroying this game, for example, power abuse and cheating.

It has been eight years since you began to play and you believe they're improving? I cannot disagree more. We're talking about a company that hasn't grown since November of 2007. They're lacking in many areas (i.e. advertising). CipSoft needs a revised business plan and a stronger, more optimistic management that will provide stability. Tibia itself has potential to grow exponentially, however, none of us will see this growth if something doesn't change, and fast.

Information on that should be available this upcoming week.
Initially, CipSoft said it would be released later this month, so hopefully that is still true.

I would like to know when they're opening. They first wrote in the end of May but have they confirmed that it will start in June at least?

As soon as we can tell you the concrete date, we'll do so. It's getting closer but that's all we can tell for now. We won't make it till the end of May, though.

Tomorrow, June 13, we will implement Premium Scrolls and start the preview game worlds. Therefore, all game worlds and the Tibia payment system will be offline from 10:00 CEST up to 16:00 CEST approximately. The website will also be temporarily offline.
