i searched forums could not find nothing on this i have my firewall completely turned off it it wont let me load http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ any suggestions?

You can load http://localhost/, but not ./phpmyadmin/ ?

Why people still using localhost?... it is a reserved name, but there may be few reasons for not having that on ur comp, so you better use directly 127.0.0.1
