Compiling Problems with special characters!

Hi everyone!
First of all, i'm brazilian. So, forgive some english mistakes!

Well, i've searched in many brazilian forums of open tibia the solution of this. After that, i try to solve it by myself. And i could not find the solution!

So, here is my problem:

As you can see, when i read something in-game, like a sign or a blackboard, some strange symbols appear. In portuguese language we use some special characters, like "á, ó, ú, ê" and i want to put some of them in the game. I was checking the sources of many servers, and trying to put some commands to compile, but nothing works to this specific problem. I'm using TFS 0.4 (rev 3884)

So, can someone help me?
Sorry by the english and if you not understand anything, just ask and i'll try to say it in a better way.

Cipsoft does not support these letters you have to make your own Client with own symbols (Tibia.pic) to change these letter problems!

Hmm, i thought i had seen one version before that these characters were allowed.
