we just delayed the beta launch cause we are adding new features, and well we ain't updating the dev thread, but it doesn't means that we ain't working on the project

yes very true.

Projects normally die from stress. If you don't post your work on a forum (to the public) then you can work at a even pace and not have to worry about 10's ~ 100's of people pestering you over release date, and thus, you can work in a calm environment.

Posting projects has pros and cons
(+)'s = More people will know about it
(-)'s = The more who know = the more who will bitch and moan when it's taking too long to open (which piss the devs off)
