questions about reborn

Ive seen a lot servers with a reborn function
But what is the actually meaning of it?

And what happens if you are level 200 and you got reborned to level 1?
You keep your health and mana

But whats with the damage formula? And how about the exp do u need again 4200 exp to level 8

What about stages and places where you need x level?

Etc. Can someone explain it to me advanced?

Have you never played a Private Server if the game Maplestory? You get to level 200 which is the max and you reset into a different job. This is called reborn. You keep your HP, Mana, Skills and damage (including items).
