Implemented Recent forum changes

What is going on with this forum? I thought that recent XenForo update broke the themes or something and they will be back soon but now even newest posts panel is gone.

A new widget with "trending" content replaced the "latest posts".

I'm aware of that, it was just much more convenient to have these posts on main page.

I would definitely give my +1 too that this trending widget is less relevant than latest posts. I personally really used the latest posts widget to browse the forum. Now it is less convenient and gives no use for recurring forum users.

Agreed. There was no need for this change whatsoever. We want to see the very latest posts, not what someone posted 3 days ago in a "larger" thread...

I actually like the change. The last days I was entering to otland before the changes there was too much spam from the same user, using different accounts on support board. Was a bit annoying to reply posts from someone who doesn't even tried to solve anything (like... I was about to answer those threads then realized it was just the same guy). This trending thing is a good filter for me.

Easy solution for that issue:

To submit a new thread, you have to pass a basic IQ test...

For users such as @ralke who enjoyed the change, it may be best to create a user preference setting for which right-side widget they want to see, either "Newest" or "Trending".

Well I regret, looks nice now. Like the idea of allowing more options to the user, but isn't something urgent I guess
