Regarding Dedicated Servers

Well, soon I'm going to need to buy a dedicated server for my server but I have a couple of questions. First off, any suggestions where I should buy one(certain company)? I want to have a safe and protected server aswell, so should I go with Windows or Linux? Also recommendations on the servers specs, like the ram, etc.

I've heard that serverlowft (http://www.serverloft.com/) should be good company, buy Linux.
<4gb RAM = little custom map
>6gb = Rl map
Also processor should be powerfull and connection at least XX/10. 1mb upload is minimium but 10 is good (100/100 if you are rich ) Download speed doesn't matter since it is almost always bigger than upload speed.

Dowwnload speed isn't so necessary, upload is what matters most.

It's a small teleporter based server, the map being 36 mbs.
