It would let anyone to post "bump" in own thread every 5 minutes to stay on top of 'New posts'.
Right now they are merged and "bump" thread stays where it should.

It's OTLand, not Reddit with $$$ budget for hosting your X GB of images 24/7 for next 20 years

EDIT:
You can host 100 GB of images/files for 32$ per year on OVH website hosting. My files ( OTS.ME pages (https://ots.me/) and HALP! – Gesior's dump (https://halp.skalski.pro/) ) are there for last 14 years and price went from 20$ to 32$, but storage space also increased from 25 GB to 100 GB.
If you care about your images/files, you should keep them on own host, not some random forum. It may go down anytime, whenever owner runs out of money

no i dont mean remove the merge function just the useless notification. the images was just response to him saying to edit the post.
