Hi, I'm looking for the Chaos OT monsters, either from the original serv, or from the map that was released on this site. Actually, any copy of them will help, so don't matter, as long as they are meant for the Chaos Server. Thanks!

it would really help my server out. it'd save me a lot of time, time i'd spend on making those monsters with the right exp and all that, like i said before, and id greatly appreciate it

oh yea, and another good reason to help me out is that i work 12 out of 14 days every two weeks...dont have a lot of time on my hands, especially when still going to school..goto school in the morning, come home, and goto work until decently late then come home do homework and goto bed..i get every second weekend off....you're probably thinking i wont have time for the serv, but i have my own laptop it'll be hosted on, so it'll be 24/7 hopefully, and i have a few RL friends that play OTS and know enough about them and are willing to help me out and watch the serv...so your help, again, would be very much appreciated. you could also be a staff member on my server if you wanted to, but that's entirely up to you :/

Well, it does matter. If otmaster09's server gets popular with 200+ players I think his laptop may overheat and won't be on 24/7... still it all depends on the speccs.
And as I see his daily life, he probably don't have the laptop with those required speccs.

I meant most laptops would over heat and Its alot better to ahve a desktop..
laptops DO over heat alot faster... and yea and i doubt his laptop amazing.

otmaster09, why do you want a ot server if you are going to bed after homeworks? It doesn't make any sense to have a server without playing at it or mapping it your self, and it makes your electricity bills higher, nothing that u profit from it.

If it's for your friends, slap them and tell em to do a server...

i have a gateway laptop with 4MB Ram and 500GB Hard Drive. As for why I want to make an OT, although I don't have a he11 of a lot of time on my hands, I still do play OTS quite often, I have time to play them, but if I am to make all the monsters it would take a little time, anyways, I did start making them on my own, but if anyone wants to help then you can send them...

EDIT: To be honest, my PC is way slower than my laptop and I have way more useless stuff on my laptop. Its still fast even with the useless stuff, so if i get rid of it then :/ idunno

For the overheat problem you can just buy a cheap "laptop fan" that keeps the laptop 'cool' at all times. I have one and have never had an overheating problem again.

And also, the hosting thing mostly depends on your net stats, not so much the laptop specs. For example, Ive been told that with my laptop specs I could host up to 400+ players IF my net stats were any good, but since my net sucks I can host like 30 or less.

So instead of talking about laptop specs, talk about net stats :)

And another thing, if you work 12 out of 14 days every 2 weeks, how do you expect to have the time it takes to put on improving and maintaining the server? :blink:

But good luck on getting these monsters released, Ive always wanted to take a peak at them too :D

(they had been released before so we have a chance ;))

i do work quite a bit, but i do have a bit of time off too. like i said, i can make the monsters myself but itd take a few weeks, and as for maintaining the server, once it's running, then the maintainance will only be little details, even if not, i do have enough time for the bigger stuff too. im not saying all my time is lost, just saying that there are so many monsters and if you've made a server with custom monsters you know yourself how long it takes to make them with the right hp, exp, atk, etc. and then test each one besides that. so.....

and yeaa, i know they have been released before, thats why im posting, hopefully something will come up :):)

Ive been on a 100% custom project for almost a year now, and what took (and is still taking) the most time for our team is that part! so I do understand you completely on that :p

And about the time/maintenance issue I ment the fact that Chaos (newer 8.5 chaos) servers are all full of stuff that can (and should) be improved now that they are 8.5, but nobody takes the time to, so Id hate to see yet another guy take another 8.5 Chaos to host it up and it to be exactly the same as all the others. And seeing that you only have 2 free days every 2 weeks, that was the possibility I was getting from you.

That was my main point!

yeah, i can see where you're coming from, and you can see where i'm coming from, you'd be a good staff for my server :P i don't want to see my server go bad because of lack of maintainance, so im definitly not going to let that happen and i do have two FULL days every two weeks off, but things slowed down at work, so im getting quite a bit more time off now (Y) :)
so hopefully someone will post these, or i will finsih them soon! :D

As for GMBear saying he has the monsters, im not so sure he does anymore, seems like he keeps making excuses and if i answer them he just makes another one :/ but he could have them, dont know for sure
