I am using windows xp pro.
The server that me and my friend use is [8.54] The Forgotten Server 0.3.6pl1.
We are going to host 8.54~
Now to my problems i am using the newest version of rme that can be found on he's website.
When i open a new file call it *Orginal* in rme what default version should i use?
When i want to copy map parts from version 8.40-8.50-8.60~
the rme want to shut down the window called "Orginal". because diffrent type of map
versions can't be open at the same time. So i try the ctrl + p to make the 8.40-8.60~maps to 8.54 but when i save them and open them again they are still the same version as before.
So you know i have not uppdate my otb.item. that rme ask everytime when i open my orginal file.
I have removed the item.otb and item.xml in rme and use the item.otb/item.xml from the Forgotten Server 0.3.6pl1, here come's another problem i cant find ghastly dragon, anyone of the new creatures example the "lizards".
I have read several tourials,threads, and got alot of information but i can't seem to get this working.
So i my question is what default client should i use in rme "preference" when i create my file the "orginal"
and how should i be able to copy part from maps that have other versions.
And what do i need to be able to have all the items,tiles, working with propper name, cause the things that happend is that many of the things from other maps become "you a item "8932" report this to a gamemaster.
And some of the creatures like fire elementals,hatchling dragons "all of em" look like a white humans sorcerer in rme.
If anyone could help me understand this easy problem as i think it is i would really appreciete the help.
I know there are alots of threads with these "problems", i am not lazy i've tried to fix this for 3 days now and the map is just ending up in one or another bad way.
The server is going to be hosted if thats the right term to use with linux ofc.
