RME global map takes almost 1 hour to open!

It really depends on your computer, it might suck if you cant open it.

I've heard of people's maps taking 5-10 minutes to open not an hour though.

windows xp ,it takes 1 hour to open a global map size 106 mb.what i can do?

Buy a better computer probably.
If you didn't mess up something else massively it is most likely due to your computer's specifications.

This. But however it may not be your PC. But to make it clear post your spec.

Go "My Computer" then "Properties" or hit the windows button + R and type in dxdiag. That will you give you more info.

I think that your problem is RAM memory, to work fine with global maps you need 2 GB+ of RAM.

But also with 2 gb of ram you will have a lot of lag there.. You need 4 gb + to work fine with that map, post your system information so we can know if is your pc the problem or maybe another thing.
