Hi Otlanders,

I would like to know if its possible to copy paste a map to another

if possible please share the way

Ofc it's possible and it's very easy

Works in every tibia and rme version:

1. open your main map
2. in rme click -> file - new
3. make sure both maps are opened in two seperate tabs, if not (example when you new file - your main map is closing) make sure you have in rme options default tibia version same as your main map (file - preferences - client version - default client) if not, creating new file will force rme to load other tibia version items.otb so all non compatible with that tibia version maps will be forced to close

when you handle it then:
1. repeat step 1 and 2 from above
2. open tab with new file
3. click file - import, this will import and convert your map-to-copy into same tibia version as your main map, if map you want to copy is in the same tibia version then you dont have to use import option, just open map-to-copy, but import is always a good choice becouse it allows to discard all broken items and can help fixing bugs with maps

Now you are ready to copy:
1. click tab with map-to-copy
2. right mouse click once and then left mouse click on map to toggle selection tool
3. hold shift and then hold your left mouse and mark part of map
4. ctrl c
5. go to your tab with main map
6. ctrl v
7. then aim with your mouse where you want to place it
8. you can always undo changes with ctrl+z (by default max 50mb of changes, can be changed in file - preferences - general)

after step 3 you can additionaly do this: hold shift+ctrl and click and hold left mouse and mark another part of map (it works exactly the same as coping multiple files in windows, or mulitple words in ms word, excel etc) you can copy for example multiple levels of map (you can then click + or - on your keyboard to go upper floor or lower floor)

yes

open map you want to paste things on
check the client version in map -> properties
go to file -> preferences -> clients
set the default client version to same as your map
file -> new
(while being on empty map) file -> import -> import map
select the map you want to copy from

click - selecting an item
shift + click - selecting a whole stack on tile
shift + drag - selecting a whole area
ctrl + anything above - adding more things to the selection
ctrl+c/ctrl+v - copy and pasting, works as long as you have tabs with maps opened in one RME instance

if you're 100% sure that maps won't overlap (eg. clean yur and clean evo or any of these + rl map), you can file -> import directly to your map file. Alternatively you can also select an offset to move the imported map somewhere it won't overlap.
