Hello OtLand members,

There's something what's been bothering me since I made my first open tibia server - should I strictly enforce rules or just let players be and do what they want.

If I strictly enforce rules they'll get warned and probably banned and they'll leave the server without even thinking about it. In the other hand if I let them do what they want the server will simply become a home to idiots who can only insult and use cheats. I don't really know if it's better to have 10 players who can play normally or to have 30 players who can't behave as server's rules says.

What's your opinion about it?

personally i encouraged cheating on my servers, because *catching all cheaters on your server is impossible anyhow* witch make for really un-fair for people who follow the "no-cheat" rules..

(by "cheating" i mean botting)

hans henrik, I don't agree with you. It's obvious that we are not able to catch all cheaters but we can at least try. Moreover people who don't cheat won't ever agree to cheat, even if you tell them to or try to force them to. What will they do then? Obviously leave the server.

Yours,
Damian.
