running ot server

hi guys i recently downloaded an ot server i want to host this server but having trouble opening it to the public i have changed the server ip address and posted it online it says server is online but when my friend trys to log in the acc comes up but when he clicks to log in it wont let him help me plz or email me be better [email protected]d of the help guys

Yeah, you have to open your ports in order for other people to play. Depending on your router (if you have one) you can find a tutorial at PortForward.com - Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model

Seems like you opened port 7171 but not 7172
