Hello guys, let's suppose that I'm getting a dedicated.
The dedicated will run linux.
Can I compile tfs on windows then just use the .exe on linux?
Or it may fuck my security?
Just the .exe from windows...I'll use mysql, server, site, on linux.
Cause I can compile only the latest rev from tfs 0.4, 8.6 don't work don't know why since I'm a linux noob :|

Thanks!

What i know you can't use .exe files in Linux. But you can search a good tutorial how to setup a server at linux. And you can use good sources from otland at Linux.

I think you didn't got my words there. You cannot use .exe files at Linux servers and it dosen't matters if you change system you can't.

Yes I did, but most of tutorials are from debian...they doesn't work properly on Ubuntu, that's why I'll change xD.
Also, I'll try using Windows to control Linux from WinSCP or something xD

it all works good on ubuntu, very similar procedures

i've set up quite a few 11.10 boxes recently
We need a tutorial to have the best security in Ubuntu 10.04 (stablest)
besides PermitRootLogin no, it's pretty secure out of the box
then you throw in some ipt rules and you're done, the rest is just fine-tuning

Thanks Cykotitan!
Probably my mistake importing libs...or old libs...
It's all working good now on debian!
Later I'll try on Ubuntu again since I guess it's more beautiful xD
