Just so you know... there are such things as proxies... which means, yes there are american IP's but that does not mean the attacker is from America... So why you even mentioned America is beyond me.

In Bosnia they would charge you by doing it, had the same situation with my own ot. It might not be ilegal in Sweden, but still people may be idiots and screw them. I recomment you to remove that ips

Google it yourself about Bosnian law that states revealing ip adresses into public, but I'm sure that if you do it police charges you and warn your internet service and if you revealed some IP from the same internet service, they cut off/turn off your internet.
Too lazy too google Swedish law about IPs but be aware that not all countries having it legal

Bottom line, IP addresses are not broadcasted publicly like a store would be, as well releasing someone's PERSONAL information is not legal. Its the same thing as posting someone's address or phone number. I don't want to argue Mark, I was just trying to make you understand what you did is the wrong thing to do. Because if those IP's get attacked you can be held accountable, also in the event if they do get attacked, the person attacking our server may retaliate and attack us again. I think the best thing to do is to contact local authorities or maybe ask your ISP or something to not allow that IP's to connect. There are plenty of options, I don't want to see you get caught on the wrong side of this if something happens.

I can't tell you what to do, do as you wish, it's not worth arguing over any more.

An IP-address is not someones personal information, anyone can connect to it just like anyone can enter a store. It might not accept your connection just like a store can be closed. This is the internet, anyone can write what they want and that's why I won't believe it til I see the law myself.
