Hmm, maybe it has started to crash alot.
Please tell more specificly about your computer and what version of TFS you're using, or if you're using XML I suggest you to leave that. SQL servers are much more stable.

I'll give you a solution.
Simple Restarter.
Use the search button and look for that, if your server crash in intervals of HOURS and not in MINUTES then you are all set, use it, because TFS when crash close suddenly wich is good, then the restart will do its job.
