Server shutting down.. [please look].

Hi!!

I wanna why my server is taking so much memory and cpu.

25mb map size, the folder is on like 50mb (Inc map).

Ive got a great CPU and 2mb DDR2 mb ram, (dual channels) those memory's are kinda fast but not so big..

ive been avaible to host a rl map before, or well a ~75 mb one.

Please :S Help me.. my server just shutting down coz the memory use is on 100% -.-

Any suggestions? :/

How many processor you have running and what is the OS of that pc, this information can help a lot.

Im using game booster, (a program that shut down all 'no needed' process)

my ob is windows 7...

So it's a home pc then, why the f you'r using some shitty game booster. I wouldn't be surprised if that "Game Booster" closed a needed process.

How much of you'r cpu does tfs take? and which process has the highest use.

well, my 25 mb map server, takes around 800 mb RAM, your windows 7 takes around 800 also(if it's your home comp, at least my win7 takes) = 1600 mb, so you got 400 mb left, not really a lot for a hosting...with 100 ppls online you will get 'out of memory' in some hours.

From the beginning the server takes around 500mb.

THhen, when like 3-4 peoples are getting online its up to 1600mb then its crash.

are you sure windows 7 take so much ram :S ? I tought windows 7 takes the same ram as windows XP and thats not much, think u mean Vista?

When it comes to memory usage, it's XP > 7 > Vista (where XP uses the lowest)

okej, I think i will upgrade my RAM with 4gb.

Atm im using DDR2 dual core (Thats all I know lol) I know its very sensetiv with rams, coz u need to buy exacly the same model or something? correct me if om wrong)

My first question is:

1. Can I buy a random DDR2 Ram? or must it be like dual core or something more..

2. Here's my CPU and RAM.

I upgraded my RAM to 8gb and everything runs smooth! :O
It was sell off in computer city, 2gb (800mHZ) for 30 euro each~ ;D
